Life Skills Instruction

Schaefer Education Solutions has experienced team members who are qualified to assist individuals in reaching new goals to help them achieve more independence in life. Many students have IEP goals and objectives that include skills such as: handwashing, toileting, brushing teeth, getting dressed, preparing food, doing laundry, making a bed, cleaning up after themselves, etc. What better place to implement these goals than in their own homes? When a child is profoundly affected by autism or other developmental disabilities, these types of life skills are paramount to help them achieve more and more independence as they grow.
